Our story

BlindSpot Consulting is run and owned by Michael Krupp. Michael and his guide dog Lupin have appeared as a judge at the Canadian Game Awards 2026 and have worked with both Canadian and international game studios.

Michael has been playing video games for his entire life, and when his vision nose-dived, he thought he would have to give up one of his greatest passions. Through the help of others with similar lived experience, he became better educated on accessibility pathways and realized there was a clear path to improve accessibility in games.

Michael seeks to bake accessibility into the foundation of video game development and to elevate existing features to where they can be fully accessible. There’s always going to be fine-tuning, but he would like to bring video games to a place where large concerns are less costly and basic features are mainstream thoughts. He recognizes accessibility is iterative, but every step forward provides greater efficiency for developers and better experiences for all users.
